Arsenal interested in PSG star Yohan Cabaye?

Arsenal are reportedly planning a £10 million summer move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye, according to the Metro.

The French international, who has struggled to make an impact into a first-team place since his move to the French capital and has hinted that he could leave the Persians in the summer.

It is believed that the Gunners have been long-term admirers of the 29-year-old midfielder, who is keen to start playing regular football again.

It is a distinct moment in my career. I have never been through this before,” the former Newcastle man told French television station Canal+.

“One has to accept it but also try to change it. It is super important for me, I want to play at Euro 2016.

“I need to speak to the [France] boss [Deschamps] and my representatives to see what is best for me.”

The north Londoners had been strongly linked with the Frenchman before his move to the Parc des Princes last year and he could be available on cheap around £10 million this summer, that wouldn’t be an issue for Wenger.

Cabaye has scored only once in 21 league appearances for Laurent Blanc’s side this season.

It remains to be seen if Cabaye will get first-team opportunities at the Emirates because after champions league qualification for next season – the future of Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini at the club looks strong.
