Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic looks set to put pen to paper to sign a new contract to remain at the Stamford Bridge, as per the reports from The Express.
The Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are said to be interested in a swoop for the 31-year-old centre-back, whose current contract with the Blues expires in 2016.
The Serbian international is yet to agree terms on his contract extension offered by the Premier League leaders as he feels that his consistent performances at the club guarantee him to play Champions League next season.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is keen to keep Ivanovic for yet another season, having described him as one of the club’s best ever signings.
Ivanovic has won one Premier League title, the Champions League, the League Cup, three FA Cups since joining the west Londoners from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2008.
