Falcao, who will turn 30 next week, is still part of the Premier League squad, but won’t be able to feature against Paris Saint-Germain in the knockout stage of the Champions League as well as any following matches.
The Colombian forward, who joined the Blues from Manchester United on loan deal during the summer, has been ruled out of action with an injury since October and has scored only once for the west Londoners in the Premier League this season.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian forward Pato is currently on loan from Corinthians for the rest of the season and could also be given a permanent contract depending upon his upcoming performance.
