Chelsea interested in January move for Marcus Thuram
Chelsea are weighing up a January move for Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram, who will be a free agent at the end of the season.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, the Blues are reportedly looking into the potential January signing of the France international – who is one of the most in-demand strikers of the winter window.
The 25-year-old is contracted with the Bundesliga outfit until June 2023, and he has already confirmed to his club that he will not be signing a new contract.
The Frenchman has scored 13 goals and registered four assists in just 17 appearances across all competitions.
Despite spending heavily over the summer, the West Londoners are struggling to really get their season going under Graham Potter.
Thuram is seen as a plausible option in January and appears to be a risk-free solution with a relatively low transfer fee involved.
The frontman could be a fantastic signing for Chelsea with his ability to play multiple roles.
Meanwhile, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are also said to be credited with an interest in the Frenchman.
