Chelsea to hijack Man United’s move for Lyon’s Malo Gusto?
|Chelsea are reportedly ready to lock horns with Manchester United over the signature of Lyon defender Malo Gusto.
The 19-year-old has been a peripheral figure in the Lyon squad this season, and his performances have understandably attracted interest from other top European clubs.
According to Sports Illustrated, the Blues and the Red Devils are both looking to sign the teenager at the beginning of 2023.
With Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to leave Old Trafford next year, the 20-time English champions have identified Gusto as a possible replacement.
Meanwhile, the West Londoners have previously enquired about signing the Frenchman, and they are interested to bring in backup for Reece James.
Gusto is contracted to the Groupama Stadium until June 2024.
