Everton sign Cameroonian forward Samuel Eto’o on a two-year deal

Everton have announced the signing of Cameroonian international Samuel Eto’o on a free transfer, the club have confirmed the news on Twitter.

The-33-year-old, who joined Chelsea on a one-year deal last summer but failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge after scoring just 12 goals in all competitions, as a result he has been a free agent since his release from the Blues at the end of last season.

Four-time African Player of The Year winner has signed a two-year deal with the Toffees, who will wear the No. 5 shirt at Goodison Park.

Eto’o becomes Roberto Martinez’s fourth summer signing of this season following the arrival of Gareth Barry, Muhamed Besic and Romelu Lukaku.
