Juventus hoping to return to winning ways

The Serie A second position holder Juventus will be desperate to return to winning ways in Sunday’s evening’s league match against Roma at the Juventus Stadium.

The defending champions will be looking for an 11th consecutive league win when they host the struggling Roma on Sunday night.

Fixture: Juventus vs Roma
Date: Sunday, 24 January
Serie A
Venue: Juventus Stadium
Kick-Off Time: 19:45

Juve have dominated the Serie A in recent seasons, winning four straight league titles – including last campaign as they finished 17 points ahead of AS Roma.

The Old Lady have now won 11 games – 10 in Serie A including the Coppa Italia 1-0 thrashing of Lazio – and appears unstoppable, having scored 30 goals, while conceded only 6.

Roma in the meantime have won just two of their last 10 games, including two defeats and 6 drawn.

Giallorossi have won their first clash 2-1 early in the season as the hosts stumbled out of the blocks with just one triumph in the first six outings.

The visitors are heading in the opposite direction, dropped to nine points off the top in fifth place. They saw no improvement since the hiring of Luciano Spalletti, who replace Rudi Garcia to begin a second coaching career in Rome after leaving in 2009.

Expected Starting XIs

Juventus FC: Neto, Bonucci, Chiellini, Cuadrado, Caceres, Sturaro, Pogba, Evra, Zaza, Marchisio, Morata.

AS Roma: Szczesny, Manolas, Rudiger, Torosidis, De Rossi, Nainggolan, Digne, Pjanic, Florenzi, Dzeko, Salah.
