Reports: Liverpool eye Juventus striker Alvaro Morata

Liverpool have set their sights on signing Juventus striker Alvaro Morata during the summer, according to the Metro.

The Spaniard, who has two international caps for his country has joined the bianconeri from Real Madrid last summer, but has struggled to make an impact in the Italian side’s pecking order with just six goals so far in the current campaign.

However, the report claims that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to make the 22-year-old their number one priority this summer in order to avoid another striker crisis like they had this season.

It is believed that the Merseyside club could face a stiff competition for Morata’s signature as Arsenal are reportedly interested in the attacker’s services.

Morata has scored six goals and provided four assists in 19 appearances so far this season.
