Man City lining up move for Benfica wonderkid Cher Ndour

Manchester City have reportedly joined the race to sign the talented Benfica youngster Cher Ndour, who is also of interest to local rivals Manchester United.

Ndour, who is only 18 years old, currently plays for Benfica B in Portugal’s second division, but he made his first-team debut in March this year, coming off the bench during a 5-1 victory over Vitoria de Guimaraes.

The teenager holds the record for the youngest player to ever play for Benfica B and is a regular player for Italy’s Under-20 team, which has earned him recognition from across Europe.

According to The Sun, the Premier League champions Man City are now in the race to acquire Ndour’s signature for next season, alongside Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, and AC Milan.

The report goes on to claim that the Citizens’ scouts have been observing Ndour in matches for both his club and country, with the club aiming to attract future talents to the Etihad.

It is understood that Ndour is not eager to return to Italy but is open to considering his options before the summer transfer window.
