Report: Man United want Bournemouth midfielder Matt Ritchie

Manchester United are reportedly interested in a move to sign Bournemouth wide-man Matt Ritchie, according to The Sun.

The Scottish winger has emerged as one of the many attacking targets of manager Louis van Gaal’s hit-list to add more superior wingers into his ranks.

It has been reported that the Dutchman told his scouts to keep an eye on the 26-year-old who helped his club to secure promotion into the Premier League last season.

The former Portsmouth and Swindon star has scored 15 goals, provided 17 assists last season and has featured in all 12 league games, scoring two times while providing one assist for the Cherries so far.

Ritchie scored 29 goals in 105 league games since he joined the newly promoted club AFC Bournemouth from Swindon in January 2013.

The 10-time English champions Manchester United have also considering a possible move to lure Southampton’s Sadio Mane to Old Trafford.
