Manchester United are mulling over a summer move for Christian Eriksen when his Brentford deal expires at the end of the campaign.
The Denmark international suffered a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020 last summer, and it appeared that the midfielder’s career may come to an abrupt end.
However, the 30-year-old managed to make a comeback. He joined the Bees earlier this year in January, having agreed a mutual release from Inter Milan. The Dane has since scored one goal and registered one assist in four appearances.
Brentford are open to negotiating a renewal, but the Red Devils are prepared to make a move if he is eyeing a bigger challenge.
The Mancunian giants have been long-term admirers of Eriksen, and they were after him before he moved to Inter from Tottenham Hotspur.
