Manchester United revive their chase for Adrien Rabiot

Manchester United have reportedly made an approach to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot ahead of next season.

The Red Devils are interested in securing the services of the 27-year-old midfielder, according to Football Transfers.

Rabiot has been in impressive form lately, drawing attention from several clubs across Europe.

His contract with the Old Lady is set to expire in the summer, and there have been no discussions of extending it so far. Consequently, the midfielder is expected to become a free agent in four months.

After joining Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2019, the Frenchman initially struggled to become a regular player at the Turin-based club. However, he has since been able to regain his form and is now a regular member of the team.

Rabiot has made 155 appearances for the Bianconeri and has scored 20 goals.

The Italian outfit are currently facing a crisis, with 15 points deducted from their ongoing campaign and no guaranteed Champions League football, which may prompt Rabiot to seek better opportunities elsewhere.

Man United boss Erik ten Hag is interested in adding more midfield players to his team, aiming to improve stability in the centre of the park.

Rabiot’s addition would provide flexibility to Ten Hag’s system, allowing him to alternate between the 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 formations.
