Mats Hummels going nowhere, says Jurgen Klopp

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that defender Mats Hummels will not be leaving the Bundesliga club this summer.

The 25-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, who are desperate to bolster their defence department following the departures of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.

But a day after the Germany international was confirmed as club’s new captain, Klopp reiterated he will not be joining the Premier League club Manchester United.

“He is going nowhere,” The Guardian quotes Klopp as saying. “He is staying with us.”

Arsenal are also reportedly interested in the world cup winner, but Klopp wii not let his player to leave the Westfalenstadion for the coming Bundesliga season.

Hummels has been at Dortmund since 2008 and is currently under contract until the summer of 2017.
