Newcastle United eye move for Ruben Neves
Newcastle United have emerged as rumoured suitors for Wolverhampton Wanderers playmaker Ruben Neves, according to The Daily Mail.
The Magpies are said to be keeping close eye on the Portugal international and may make a move to sign him during the winter transfer window.
Neves, 25, has solidified his place as one of the top players in the Premier League with over 230 appearances for Wolves, scoring 28 goals and providing 12 assists.
The midfielder’s contract with the West Midlands outfit is set to expire in 18 months and he has informed the club that he is not looking to renew it.
Recent speculation has linked Neves with a move away from Molineux, with both Arsenal and Barcelona said to be considering a move for the midfielder.
Neves has reportedly caught the attention of Newcastle United, with the club considering a move for him during the mid-season transfer window to strengthen their midfield and increase their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
