Done Deal: Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg joins Southampton
Southampton have announced the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, that will keep him at the St Mary’s until 2021.
The Denmark international has been heavily linked with a move to the Saints this summer, with the Premier League outfit emerging as the favourites to get his signature in recent weeks.
The Bundesliga champions confirmed earlier today that the 20-year-old was undergoing a medical at St Mary’s, and Southampton have now officially confirmed his arrival on a five-year contract.

“Of course I’m very pleased, it’s a big opportunity for me. It like it, I have seen the training centre, the people around it and I must say I am feeling very positive about this,” the midfielder told the club’s official website.
“I really look forward to give what I have and what I can to the club. They trust me, and I want to show them that they are not wrong.”
He made his senior debut for the Bavarians in 2013 but failed to make an impact for the starting spot and spent last season on loan at Schalke 04.
Hojbjerg becomes Southampton’s second summer signing, following the arrival of Nathan Redmond from Norwich City.
