Rennes attacker Lovro Majer on Barcelona radar?

Barcelona have reportedly placed emphasis on signing Rennes playmaker Lovro Majer in the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old joined the Ligue 1 outfit from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2021 and had a successful debut campaign under Bruno Genesio.

The midfielder has scored six goals and registered eight assists in 29 French top flight matches last term.

The Croatia international, who is under contract at Roazhon Park until the summer of 2026, is yet to complete the full 90 minutes in the Ligue 1 this season.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato – via Sport – the Blaugrana have been keeping tabs on Majer’s situation, with the playmaker dubbed ‘the next Luka Modric’.

The Catalan giants were supposedly interested in signing Majer over the summer, but now they will face stiff competition to land his signature.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested in signing the Croatian.
