Rodgers Eyes Cardiff Captain
|Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to sign Cardiff captain Steven Caulker in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.
Rodgers wants to tighten up Liverpool’s defence this summer and the Cardiff centre-back is seems to be the ideal option at Anfield.
The 22-year-old England international joined Cardiff in 2013 from Tottenham Hotspur for £8.5 million and since then he has been the key player for The Bluebirds with his impressive displays.
The Northern Irishman wants to see Caulker in place of Daniel Agger, who might left the club at the end of the season.
It seems pretty obvious – If Liverpool secure qualification for the next season’s Champions League, they will look to strengthen their defence squad in the summer transfer window.
Although, The Reds current backline options needs to be strengthen and hence it will be the priority in the summer.
