Cristiano Ronaldo comments on Angel Di Maria’s No.7 shirt at Old Trafford
Former Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo responds to Di Maria getting the No.7 jersey at Old Trafford.
The Argentine winger Di Maria was unveiled as a Man United asset after completing his British record £59.7 million move from La Liga giants Real Madrid, who will wear the No. 7 shirt at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old versatile attacker is likely to make his debut this weekend against Burnley FC in Premier League action.

“I wish Di Maria well. He is a fantastic player who will do well at Old Trafford,” said Ronaldo. “I believe only the best wear the No.7 jersey.”
“And I said to him that number seven is a big responsibility, but I think he will be able to take that shirt because he’s a fantastic player.”
As well as Ronaldo – the famous No.7 shirt at Manchester United has been worn by legends by the likes of George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona and David Beckham.
