Rumours: Man United plan January bid for Athletic defender Aymeric Laporte

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is keen to strengthen his defence by targeting a January move for Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte, reports The Metro.
The Red Devils are said to be interested in to launch the defender’s £32 million buy-out clause, in order to bring him at Old Trafford in January.
The 20-year-old centre-back, who was linked with Arsenal earlier in this week – has featured eight times in La Liga this season so far and it appears that United are desperately looking to add the French Under 21 international to their weak defence.
Laporte has made 66 appearances for the Basque outfit since he arrived at San Mames in 2010.
