Tottenham’s Jan Vertonghen to get new deal?
|Tottenham Hotspur are likely to reward Jan Vertonghen new contract at White Hart Lane.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino hinted that the Belgian defender will be the next player to sign a new contract extension in ‘the next few days’.
The 29-year-old centre-back, who has two years left on his current contract, has been in discussions over an extension since early this year.

The north Londoners have already secured seven players down to new contracts and Pochettino suggested another is on the cards to follow.
Kyle Walker became the recent and seventh player to agree a new terms with the club, following the footsteps of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Harry Winks and Tom Carroll.
Vertonghen has racked up 162 appearances for Spurs in all competitions since arriving the White Hart Lane in 2012 from Ajax.
