Premier League 2015: Will Stoke beat Spurs at White Hart Lane?

Two sides will be competing in order to recover from the losses in their opening games of the 2015-16 campaign, as both sides yet to get off the mark in the top flight this season.

Two teams go head-to-head when the Potters travel to White Hart Lane to take on Spurs in the Premier League action this Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be keen to move on from their 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford last week.

The Spurs remain with short of options up front, with Emmanuel Adebayor will not feature in his first team plans, while Roberto Soldado has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane ahead of a potential move to Villarreal, leaving Harry Kane as the club’s only known striker.

Lyon forward Clinton N’Jie has reportedly joined the club, and could complete a deal in the coming hours, who could make a debut in this weekend’s match.

Stoke City

Stoke manger Mark Hughes almost did enough for his side in their first outing of the new season, but a late goal from Philippe Coutinho handed Liverpool a close win at the Britannia Stadium last weekend.

The Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri, who became the club’s record signing – penning a four-year contract with the Potters. He is believed to be the final summer arrival at the Britannia Stadium.

Mark Hughes will be hoping Shaqiri’s arrival would bring some luck for the side, who lost their last meeting with the Merseyside club last Sunday.

It was a busy transfer window for Stoke, with 11 new signings coming in, along with the Dutchman Marco van Ginkel from Chelsea.
