Wolverhampton Wanderers are expected to wrap up a deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Matheus Nunes.
Wolves have been heavily linked with the Portugal international throughout the summer transfer window.
However, it has been claimed that the 23-year-old playmaker was less than enthusiastic about making the switch to a non-participating club in Europe.
Chelsea and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the Portuguese star, the West Midlands outfit have appeared to be no more than outsiders for his signature.
However, according to Record, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sporting Lisbon have reached an agreement over a proposal which could be worth €50m including add-ons.
The report goes on to claim that the Premier League outfit have committed to paying an initial €45m with an additional €5m.
The highly-rated midfielder has already given the green signal to switch to Molineux, agreeing to play under Bruno Lage.
Nunes contributed eight goals and nine assists from 101 appearances in all competitions, helping Sporting win the league title during 2020-21.
