Barcelona – Messi out for three weeks

La Liga giants, Barcelona have confirmed that striker Lionel Messi will be out for the next three weeks with his stiff leg injury.

The Argentine international has got a thigh injury on 2-0 victory over Almeria.

The manager, Gerardo Martino admitted that he was unsure as to the extent of the injury, and the 26-year-old will be ruled out of the ground until October.

Messi will miss the game against Celtic at Parkhead in Champions League, though he should be available for the most anticipating game against Real Madrid in first El Clasico of the season on October 27.
