Bayern Munich keen on Romelu Lukaku

Bayern Munich have reportedly set their sights on a deal for Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku ahead of next season.

According to Fichajes, Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing the 29-year-old striker ahead of next season. Although the Belgian has not been in top form for a few seasons, he is still considered a potential target for the Bundesliga giants and has the ability to turn his fortunes around.

Currently on loan at Inter Milan from Chelsea, Lukaku is expected to return to his parent club in the summer.

The striker previously played for Inter Milan from 2019 to 2021, during which he scored an impressive number of goals and was widely regarded as one of the best forwards in the world at the time. As a result of his performances, Chelsea brought him back, but unfortunately, his big-money move did not go as planned. After a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge, he was loaned back to the Italian giants.

Lukaku has had a difficult season at Inter, contributing only five goals in 19 games across all competitions. He has been hampered by injuries and has not performed at his best when he has been on the field. As a result, his market value has decreased to €40 million.

Lukaku’s loan move to Inter expires in the summer, and he is expected to return to London, with Inter unlikely to extend his loan or make a permanent transfer. Although he is under contract with the Blues until the end of 2026.

The Bundesliga champions are among the clubs interested in signing Lukaku but they face competition from other interested clubs.
