Liverpool eye Hannover Stopper

Liverpool are plotting a summer move to sign Hannover goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler, according to talkSPORT.

The former Manchester United stopper was failed to make any appearance at Old Trafford during his five year career with Sir Alex Ferguson.

The 25-year-old moved to his homeland Bundesliga side Hannover 96 from Manchester United in 2010 to get his career back on the track and since then he has been considered as one of the Europe’s finest glovesmen.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has impressed with Zieler’ displays and is keen to sign the shot-stopper at the end of the season as cover for Simon Mignolet.

The Germany international is considered as a decent goalkeeper, although he represented his country for two-times at senior international level.

French club – AS Monaco are also interested to lure the Ex-Manchester United keeper this summer, according to the rumours from www.sportal.de.

Zieler’s current contract runs until 2015, and a release clause set at €6.5 million, a bid that would not be an issue with both clubs the Reds as well as for Monaco.
