Pereira signs new contract at Man Utd

The Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira has committed his future by signing a new three-year contract with the club which will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2018.

The 19-year-old Brazilian has been part of the Red Devils’s academy since 2011, who made his senior debut in August last year.

The attacking midfielder, whose previous contract was due to expire at the end of the season, has also featured as a substitute in United’s 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the Capital One Cup earlier this season.

“I am pleased to have signed my new contract,” Pereira told the club’s official website. “I would like to thank the manager [Louis van Gaal] for giving me the opportunity to join the first-team squad. I made my Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur and to play at Old Trafford in front of so many fans was a dream come true.

“I am at the right club to continue my development as a player and to learn as much as I can. I want to thank my family and God for the opportunity he has given me.”

Pereira had offers from couple of clubs including PSG and Juventus, has the option to extend the deal for an additional year.
