The spray allows referees to do their job better in order to indicate the position between the ball and opposition players during free-kicks.
Premier League Chief Executive Richard Scudamore said:
““Having witnessed that, and following consultation with our clubs and the PGMOL, we have decided to introduce it in the Barclays Premier League and look forward to having it in place for the 2014/15 season.”
The benefit of using vanishing spray – it lasts around 60 seconds before it disappears, so it doesn’t leave the mark on the pitch permanently.
UEFA has already decided to introduce it for Champions League and Europa League this season and EPL now followed the same trend.
The Premier League season 2014-15 kicks off on August 16.
