The 22-year-old forward, whose current contract at Turf Moor is set to expire this summer and will join the Merseyside club on 1st July pending a medical.
The England Under-21 international has scored 11 goals in his debut Premier League season, but could not help the Clarets from being relegated.
Despite his successful campaign last term, it is understood that Ings is not a key signing at Anfield, and Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter with mixed opinions, here are the best one:
Bizarre negative social media nonsense about us signing @IngsDanny. An U21 with goals already and bags of potential. Good luck to him.

Danny Ings scored 3 more Premier League goals last season (11) than all 4 of #LFC strikers put together. At 22 the lad has a bright future

#LFC: free transfers for Milner & Ings look like good deals, will improve them in certain areas. But there’s still a lot more that #LFC lack

Liverpool are doing much needed business, signing @IngsDanny . He’s got bags of potential. Wish him well.

Ings will offer much more of a goalscoring threat than Borini and Lambert, trust me. #LFC

Not convinced by Ings at all, only upside is that he’s got resale value when #LFC decide to sell him next summer.
